shame on the italian government

(Here we are … once again)

The Italian Government fired Carlo Rubbia, president of the ENEA (Italian Institute for Alternative Energies) and Nobel prize for physics. The origin of the fight was an open letter that the president published on one of the main Italian journals: Repubblica. In this letter, the scientist, made public the impasse the he was living with the executive council. In fact, a number of politicians nominated by the government was acting completely against the ideas and projects that the president was stimulating and promoting. The result was a lost of significant amount of founding from the european commission, and the drift of control of Italy’s primate projects such as Antarctica among others.
